The Educational Department at the International Museum of Ceramics  is a place where schools and families can approach museum ceramic projects.
The activities planned by the MIC Staff are located in the Laboratory Playing with Ceramics,  where people experience the ceramic materials, in the Didactic Room "Ugo Gobbi" and in the Museum exhibition halls. The guided tours to the collections allow people to observe and understand the different traditions of ceramics,  to know the life-styles of people from all over the world and also to come in contact with ancient civilizations. The audience can establish a link with the MIC and people often wish to come again in order to be part of the Museum life and progresses.
The educational proposals follow different age range. We believe that the development of the knowledge of the ceramic world is a great opportunity of cultural development and experience, in this field the collaboration with the teachers and the coherence with the school programs are fundamental. We are always working for new proposals and experiences in order to allow people to face the reality with a new attitude and awareness: we use our eyes to look at the world, our mind to make reflections, our hand to create works and disassemble them. It is important to make practice in a critical way, the goal achieved will be a unique experience.
