PICASSO, THE CHALLENGE OF CERAMICS

50 unique pieces from the collections of the Musée Picasso in Paris to tell the creative thought of the Spanish artist towards clay.

From 1st of November 2019 to 2nd of Jun 2020.

From 19th of May to  2nd of June free entry.

Due to the Covid19 emergency, the International Contemporary Art Ceramics Competition has been postponed to spring 2021.

MATER CERAMICA IT IS ON LINE

It is the largest database on the whole world of Italian ceramics. For the first time, designers, artists, craftsmen, researchers, museums, schools and even industry have been brought together in a single virtual place. A huge archive of information on Italian ceramics, with the possibility of researching and seeing everything on the map.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES

Education at the International Museum of Ceramics, is a tool to reach out to schools and families. Many options are available, including hands-on activities in the “playing with ceramic” laboratory, educational tours of the museum displays, and training courses for adults and teachers.

LIBRARY

The Library of the International Museum of Ceramics maintains a collection of publications to offer researchers a wide selection of bibliographic material on ceramic reviews, history, art, and technology.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

THE CER-DEE STARTED, FINANCED BY THE EU. INVOLVED 8 EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONS INCLUDING THE MIC OF FAENZA

The Mic of Faenza participates in the CER-DEE (Entrepreneurship in the ceramic regions - developing, educating, encouraging). The project is funded by Interreg Central Europe. Involved 8 European institutions with the aim of encouraging the sustainable use of cultural heritage. At the museum the task of ceramic museum training is from Faenza.
