61st FAENZA DIGITAL PRIZE

From January 14, 2021 to March 18, 2021, every Thursday at 4 pm, the "61 ° Premio Faenza Talks" goes live on our social channels Facebook and Youtube: a series of presentations by the artists selected at the International Contemporary Art Ceramics Competition - Faenza Award. The talks are moderated by the Prize jurors.

A MUSEUM UNIQUE IN THE WORLD

The MIC is a unique museum in the world. Because Covid19 our stunning collection - that crosses cultures around the world, from the most ancient expressions to the contemporary culture -  until October 31 is open from Tuesday to Sunday (9am to 2pm). Closed on non-holiday Mondays and on 15 August.

ALFONSO LEONI (1941-1980). REBEL GENIUS

The new exhibition of our museum is dedicated to a brilliant artist who worked with ceramics and other materials in a continuous research and experimentation. The large anthology gathers his work from painting to graphics, to ceramic sculpture up to design objects.

From October 1st 2020 to January 19th 2021.

MATER CERAMICA IT IS ON LINE

It is the largest database on the whole world of Italian ceramics. For the first time, designers, artists, craftsmen, researchers, museums, schools and even industry have been brought together in a single virtual place. A huge archive of information on Italian ceramics, with the possibility of researching and seeing everything on the map.

 

 

LIBRARY

The Library of the International Museum of Ceramics maintains a collection of publications to offer researchers a wide selection of bibliographic material on ceramic reviews, history, art, and technology.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

THE CER-DEE STARTED, FINANCED BY THE EU. INVOLVED 8 EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONS INCLUDING THE MIC OF FAENZA

The Mic of Faenza participates in the CER-DEE (Entrepreneurship in the ceramic regions - developing, educating, encouraging). The project is funded by Interreg Central Europe. Involved 8 European institutions with the aim of encouraging the sustainable use of cultural heritage. At the museum the task of ceramic museum training is from Faenza.
