The exhibition displays the works selected at the most important contemporary art competition dedicated to ceramics

The Faenza Prize is one of the most important competitions in the world dedicated to artists who express their creativity with ceramics.

The international jury - composed by Frederic Bodet, curator of contemporary art; Ranti Tjan, Director of The European Ceramic Workcenter; Judith Shwartz, Professor Emerita of Art and Art Education at NYU, Steinhardt (Switzerland); Alberto Salvadori, artistic director of the Fondazione ICA Milano and curator of the Established Master and Decades section for the MiArt contemporary art fair in Milan; Irene Biolchini, independent curator and Claudia Casali, Director of the MIC - will award the most significant artists (under and over 35) on June 19th.

"The Faenza Prize is the longest lasting biennial of contemporary art dedicated to ceramics. - comments Claudia Casali, director of the MIC in Faenza - This year the focus is on installations and sculptures, a real plunge into the contemporary world, with an attention to young artists under 35. This event has always brought great international visibility to our Museum, being an important indicator of current ceramic creativity".

The works selected to take part in the Competition (about one hundred) together with those awarded by the jury, will be collected in an exhibition that can will be opened until 1st November 2020.
