JUG WITH TRILOBATE MOUTH

Height, 20 cm.
Majolica
Faenza, end of the 15th century.
Provenance: acquisition (1965).
Condition: fragmentary, and with small repairs.
Inv. no. 14116.

Painted in an oval bounded by a lined-in area at the front is the bust of a young woman and the inscription « MARIA B(ella) ». On the sides are polychrome bands with a run of upside-down arches, and on the mouth, a motif of leaves joined at the points.
