The International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, after 8 years, has updated the guidebook of the ceramic collections.
It is curated by the Director Claudia Casali and by the Chief Curator Valentina Mazzotti and published by “EMIL edizioni”. It is an easily readable book supported by a lot of colour images.
The guidebook describes the new sections (6 departments) and the renovated museum settings which, starting from 2011, are the Far East, the devotional ceramics, the ceramic floors and coverings, the international sculpture of the 20th century, the European collections and the post-war ceramics. It includes the new ceramics acquisitions and is a support to the visit which offers a complete vision of the museum. Noteworthy are the three glossaries devoted to the techniques, shapes and decorations.
The guide is bilingual to be available for the numerous international visitors.
