OFFICINE SAFFI IN MILAN PRESENT THE PROTAGONISTS OF THE 59th FAENZA PRIZE

Officine Saffi (via Aurelio Saffi 7, Milan - Italy) is looking at the Artists in Residence #2 exhibiton, second stage of the residency program sponsored by Officine Saffi in collaboration with the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.

Established formally in 1932, the Faenza Prize is a landmark on a global scale which has grown in recent years due to the work of the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza. A project that has recently amplified in collaboration with Officine Saffi, who, from 24th May to 10th June 2017 will present the Artists in Residence #2 exhibition. On show will be the works produced by the four winners of the 59th edition of the Prize (2016) during the period of residence in the Milanese workshop.
 
The exhibition will be showing works by Silvia Celeste Calcagno (Italy, 1974), winner of the over 40 category; Helene Kirchmair (Austria, 1981) and Thomas Stollar (USA, 1980), to whom ex-aequo recognition was given in the under 40 category; and Nicholas Lees (UK, 1967), who was awarded the CERSAIE Prize.
 
During the weeks of work in the Officine Saffi workshop, the four artists developed totally new projects, starting from the point that distinguishes their respective creative paths and that was recognised by the jury of the Faenza Prize.
