From Oct. 11 to March 2, two works by Lucio Fontana from our collection (The Crucifix,1952 and Spatial Concept,1968) will be on loan to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, “Mani-fattura: the ceramics of Lucio Fontana,” curated by Sharon Hecker, art historian and independent curator.
This is the first exhibition ever held in a museum to be exclusively dedicated to the ceramic works of Lucio Fontana (1899-1968), and will therefore be a unique and exceptional testimony to the scope of the artist’s imagination and complexity as a sculptor.
