On Thursday, Sept. 4, at 5:30 p.m., the Delizia Estense del Verginese offers a guided tour, curated by MIC Faenza curator and conservator Valentina Mazzotti, of the exhibition “In the Sign of Bacchus,” created thanks to the collaboration with the Faenza Mic and the support of the Emilia – Romagna Region’s Department of Culture and Landscape.
“In the Sign of Bacchus – Wine and Ceramics from the Roman Age to the Baroque,” set up on the second floor of the Delizia Estense del Verginese, revolves around the ceramic forms of drinking from the Roman world to the moment of development of the Delizia del Verginese during the 16th century, capturing the elements of originality and those of continuity through the centuries and linking the use of water and wine ceramics to the social contexts developed by each era.
At the end of the tour we move to the porch of the little church for a tasting by Cantina Verginese.
The tour and tasting will be free admission by reservation by calling 335.236673 or emailing verginese@atlantide.net by Aug. 31, 2025.
