About Us

The MIC Onlus Foundation is an organization established in Faenza with contributions from public and private entities.

The Foundation pursues purposes of social solidarity and general utility. Its main objectives include the protection, promotion and enhancement of the ceramic heritage at the national and international level. It manages the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza and develops collateral activities for the enhancement of the heritage, including popular initiatives, training, research, restoration and publishing activities. Supports the ceramic tradition through cultural initiatives and seeks resources to enrich the Museum’s collections.

As a non-profit organization, the Faenza MIC Foundation operates on a not-for-profit basis and dedicates income to its institutional activities. The management of the Museum is a noneconomic public service. The Foundation may not distribute profits or funds during its existence, except as excepted by law or to other non-profit organizations. In the event of its extinction, the remaining assets shall be donated to the City of Faenza for cultural purposes related to the Museum.
