Carlo Zauli, Great Stele

1970s

Deepening

The large stoneware sculpture, which belongs to the production of the ’70s, is characterized by vertical waves that make it material, recalling the natural shape of clods of earth, of sand dunes. The glaze that covers it is the famous “bianco Zauli”, which varies in shades of grey, tactile roughness alternating with smooth white parts, obtained by firing at high temperatures. The work immediately brings us back to the production of this master, appreciated all over the world and awarded at major art competitions, including the Premio Faenza.
