Francesco Nonni, Oriental Procession, 1925

Deepening

In full Art Deco style, this extraordinary composition of twenty-five elements was made in 1925 for the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris, for which it won the silver medal. Nonni was an eclectic artist (painter, xylographer, draughtsman) and a refined plastic artist who collaborated with many masters from Faenza who were interpreters of new artistic trends. He made a large number of small sculpturesmaiolicaby Anselmo Bucci) with elegant and refined decorations, in line with the bourgeois taste and fashion of the time.
