Franz Stähler, Totemic Door, 1987

Built with refractory bricks, it represents a clear example of his artistic production which uses used bricks, iron and old wood blackened by time as its main expressive means. The “totemic door” recalls a structure of the past characterized by a pure form, silently inserted in the landscape that welcomes it. His works are exhibited in numerous public spaces around the world.
