Pietro Melandri, Panel

The MIC bookshop is dominated by the decorative panels created by Pietro Melandri in 1959 for the Albergo Roma in Bologna, a work purchased by the Museum in 1989. The wall installation presents a fairy tale on ceramic, a synthesis of the artist’s poetics, made of figurative decorations painted with iridescent enamels.
