Sueharu Fukami, Shun II (Act II)

1998, porcelain

Deepening

In 1985 Fukami won the Faenza Prize with the work “La distesa del mare in lontananza”, inaugurating his richest season of artistic productions and worldwide recognition. His porcelain sculptures are distinguished by their fluid volumes and dimensions at the limit of what can be fired in the kilns. Elegant and technically perfect, they are characterized by the light blue and green colour, according to the ancient Far Eastern tradition, which makes them even more suggestive.
