Timo Sarpaneva and Salvator Dali, “Suomi” Service

1978

Deepening

Among the designers who worked at the Rosenthal factory in Selb after the Second World War was the Finnish Timo Sarpaneva, who designed several projects with refined shapes, still in production today. Over the years, his design was combined with the decorative forms of other artists and collaborators, such as, in the case reproduced here, Salvator Dalì, an eclectic and eccentric artist, who contributed to the re-edition of the “Suomi” service with his very personal decoration, in line with his lively poetics.
