People & Potteries – educational paper: “Le Avventure di Mezzettino”

The project People and Potteries – a cultural heritage in Europe, 2005-2008, follows on from previous MIC projects in the field of the European Union Program “Culture 2000”.

The aim of the project was to highlight national and regional characteristics, to share traditions, to show what kind of society was formed around the world of ceramic production by focusing on people, artists, famous people creators of new techniques and working strategies, technicians, performers, methods, machines, art and industry – how, when and under what circumstances ceramic objects were created, what symbiosis exists between history, tradition and the modern world. The social and historical contexts and the progress made in this area have been taken into account, while keeping a close eye on living and working conditions.
