Entries are now open for the fifth edition of Officine Saffi Award: the international award dedicated to the promotion of contemporary ceramics in which MIC is a partner.
Participation in the call is free of charge and allows one to be selected to win the first prize of 10,000 euros, a Young Artist Prize of 5,000 euros and 6 Residency Prizes made in collaboration with leading international institutions.
Officine Saffi Award promotes talent, experimentation and research on ceramics, activating a platform for artists where meeting audience and institutions The theme of the fifth edition, “(un)Known Territories,” invites submissions of works that reflect on the open-ended meaning of the term territory: known place of discovery; sedimented and ever-changing matter; narrative space that binds together personal and collective cultures and histories. The 25 works by the finalist artists will be featured in an exhibition that will open the spaces of the Foundation’s new headquarters in Milan in early 2024. On this occasion, an international Jury will decide the winners.
